Types of Service
At HomeDirectUSA we have tailored our services to meet any customer's or consumer's needs: Total Transportation—includes manufacturer pick-up, transportation to the destination terminal and final mile delivery, shipment from Designated Consolidation Center—if a customer has sufficient volume from one origin point, they can inject their deliveries half-way through our supply chain and allow diminished handling and faster transits, or Local Delivery Only—for customers whose products can handle the rigors of traditional LTL services or their volume is such that they can bypass our transportation system and bring products to our final mile delivery terminal. Each of these services promises great flexibility, the utmost in convenience, and impressive speed to customer.
Total Transportation
This service includes the picking up of shipments directly from the manufacturer, providing total transportation via our proprietary air-ride LTL system to the HomeDirectUSA final-mile delivery terminal, scheduling a four-hour delivery window, and then delivery to customer. This service would be appropriate for a retailer without warehouse space who needs to convey individual shipments from a manufacturer directly to any consumer living in any zip code in the US or postal code in Canada.
Shipment from Designated Consolidation Center
This is HomeDirectUSA's fastest growing service. This is an outstanding option for companies that have enough freight to be able to move product via truckload to one location but need to distribute their shipments to consumers in the US and Canada. By choosing this option, you'll be able to improve your transit times; eliminate "a touch of the freight", thereby diminishing the possibility of damage; and lower costs by avoiding some of the transportation. This service includes receipt of shipment from a third-party transportation provider at a HomeDirectUSA cross dock or consolidation center, injecting the shipment into our network at a strategic point, transportation to a HomeDirectUSA final mile delivery terminal, scheduling of a four-hour delivery window, and then delivery to the customer. This option would be ideal for a retailer who has national sales presence but not enough volume to provide direct truckload movement to each of HomeDirectUSA's Distribution Centers, and doesn't want the claims exposure of using an LTL service. This option provides a cost savings over the total transportation solution and reduces the transit time to the end consumer.
Local Delivery Only
This service includes the receipt of shipments from a third party transportation provider directly at our final mile delivery terminal, scheduling a four-hour delivery window, and delivery to the consumer. This is a great service for companies that already have an interstate transportation system in place or for customers whose product can handle the rigors of traditional LTL transportation as the product is dropped off at the last stage of HomeDirectUSA's supply chain for final mile delivery.
Levels of Delivery
You have a choice of four levels of delivery service, each consisting of a trained two-person team and a four hour delivery window. As with all of our staff, our delivery personnel are service-minded professionals who will treat your consumers with respect and have been trained to handle all large consumer durable products and handle any unique circumstance.
Bronze Delivery
Our most economical option and our basic service. Perfect for situations where a lower cost delivery solution is required, or when you need us to deliver the products to the end consumer while a third party will handle the installation. A good example of this service would be the delivery of kitchen cabinets that need to be installed at a later time.
Silver Delivery
Our intermediate-level service. Silver Delivery is ideal for the times it is critical to get a product into the home, up/down two flights of stairs and to the room of choice, but unpacking and debris removal are not necessary. For example, this service would be appropriate for the delivery of a large screen television to a consumer's basement or bedroom that needs to be installed at a later time into their home theatre system.
Gold Delivery
Our core service. Gold Delivery includes all the services offered in our Silver Delivery option plus unpacking and basic set-up. Additionally, our team will remove any boxes or debris from the residence. A good example of this service is the delivery of a sofa to the room of the consumer's choice, removing all the packaging and screwing the legs in, so that when the delivery team leaves, the product is in the exact condition and location that the consumer wants.
Platinum Delivery
Our premier service. This option is the ideal choice for deliveries that demand not only placement, unpacking and debris removal, but up to 30 minutes of light assembly. An example of this service is the delivery of a bedroom set to the room of the consumer's choice, removal of all the packaging, assembly (attaching the headboard, footboard and rails) and the placement of the remaining furniture in the exact location the consumer wants.
